High House is a stunning wedding venue set in six acres of landscaped gardens and rolling meadow in the Essex countryside. Offering a luxurious yet quaint setting, High House is exclusively yours for your perfect wedding day.

Our couples have the option of having their ceremony in either the rustic Essex barn which dates back to 1750, or outside in the grounds under our beautiful thatched gazebo at the end of a stunning flower filled pergola. 

Our grounds include an aptly heart-shaped lake, large pond over which sits a Monet-inspired bridge, weeping willows which provide stunning photo opportunities, an abundance of wildlife and pretty country flowers throughout the gardens. We also have our beautiful vineyard, 'The Althorne Estate' where couples will often choose to have some stunning photographs taken.

Our brides have exclusive use of our oak framed orangery to get ready before the ceremony. Situated overlooking the swimming pool, the orangery is luxuriously furnished with comfortable sofas, dressing tables and of course a changing room and generous ensuite. 

When the time comes for guests to be seated, our elegant marquee offers the perfect setting. With views to the lake (spectacular at sunset!) which can be viewed from our decking, the highly impressive space will wow your guests. The wedding marquee can be prepared to accommodate anything from an all-day informal barbecue to a genteel wedding breakfast. The decision is yours.

As dusk falls the marquee comes to life for your evening celebrations. Benefiting from a dance floor reveal (your party is hidden away until the evening), twinkling star-cloth lining, stage, and black and white dance floor, you can be sure of an amazing party atmosphere.

Experience

We have DJed at events in Barcelona, France, London all over the U.K.  We have massive amounts of experience in both the DJ and audio engineering fields. With 18 years of experience, we pride ourselves on a professional service. We have DJed with Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim), Calvin Harris, Dave Pearce (Radio 1) and Pete Tong. We have also worked with DJ Luck & Mc Neat, the cast of TOWIE, Made In Chelsea, The Fratellis, The Libertines and Juliette Lewis.
