The Lion in Essex is a wonderfully-appointed venue ideal for any and all styles of weddings. Rooted in the heart of Boreham, Chelmsford, the venue is finished in a fantastically unique Art Deco style that conjures memoires of the roaring early-twentieth century and unforgettable celebrations!

With a range of function spaces both small and large, The Lion can cater for both grand and intimate celebrations. If you are looking for an intimate ceremony, you can say ‘I do’ in The Lion’s Den. Situated at the end of The Long Bar, it is a serene space with dramatic mantelpiece at the end where you will exchange vows! Alternatively, the dramatic Grand Hall is basked in natural light and offers an atmospheric setting to party the evening away!

For your wedding breakfast at The Lion, their esteemed chefs will prepare a delicious menu of food. From canapes to banquets, they will work with you to create a bespoke menu that is both mouth-watering and packed full of your favourites.

Essex Wedding DJs

We use RCF speakers with Pioneer cdjs or Traktor controllers. Our lighting will always be designed around the venue and we have absolutely no problem playing over the booked time slot if you want to keep the party going into the early hours. We have DJed for Hedkandi Brighton, Ministry Of Sound, Danny Dyer, the cast of TOWIE & Made In Chelsea and we have also played alongside Calvin Harris and Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim.
